ICANN’s 34th meeting in Mexico is open for sponsorship right now. This is going to be yet another exciting meeting for the domain industry. With the new gTLD application process coming along the way, a lot of gTLD bidders will be working hard.
Couple more updates after ICANN Cairo meeting.
1) Tina Dam : Compliance for IDN technical requirements and she also mention that for potential IDN gTLD bidders, there must be a minimum 3 characters. (It’s not from the article).
2) A report from Heise Online stating the government concern of geographical based TLD. Picked up the news from CircleID.
After Mexico, ICANN is heading over to Sydney, Australia in June 2009. Then after that it’s Seoul, Korea.
