It’s almost end of the year and many things are slowing down but not us at the office. It’s been hectic for several weeks and we expect it to continue until mid next year. I know it’s a sin to ignore this blog for quite a while now and i apologize.
There are a few updates I would like to announce :-

RegistryASP sponsors this coming ICANN meeting in Mexico. As you may have notice, we have been quite active in the past meetings (Paris and Cairo), we are beginning to expose ourself to more and more of ICANN meetings and also allow other to recogize us.
RegistryASP did it again. RegistryASP was awarded by FUNDAÇÃO IT & MEDIA UNIVERSIDADE DE BISSAU to provision a registry registrar solution allowing them to provide .GW extension to the market. Hang on, as GW will be entering the TLD market with their very own inituative marketing strategies.

Chuck Kisselburg from ICANNWIKI has did a fantastic job in compiling all the gTLD information that was scattered across ICANN gTLD site. All the succesfull applications, registry agreements, and also failed attempts. He even compiled a gTLD predictions from the community. Personally i still find it hard to believe that there will be more than 100 gTLD applicants this round.
Lastly,
Some good news. Stephane Van Gelder reports that ICANN might (i repeat, might) reduce gTLD applicant fee and it’s annual fees. So we’ll see what happens next. There is only 4 days left for the community to comment the draft RFP before the public comment period closes.
